Eric,

I trust you meant the Keying signal on the K60XV instead of the K160RX - 
yes, that will key the KPA500 just fine.

The KPA500 keying requires sinking only 1 ma. and the open circuit 
voltage is only is less than +16 volts.
The 2n7000 in the K2 can sink up to 200 ma. and can handle up to +60 
volts, although I would de-rate it to about 75% of those values just to 
be safe.
