As appears to the custom to the Elecraft family, WA6NHC would like to announce that K3 S/N 5882 has arrived in the world. Delivery was yesterday, labor lasted about 9 hours and the learning curve has been started (but 3 am was TOO early to start that after decades of being a Kenwood only station). Sibling P3 and KPA 500 are expected later this week and are already waiting in the 'delivery room'. Due to the late hour at the completion of the process, Rick is groggy from lack of sleep and in serious need of his famous 'firehouse' coffee (requires seatbelts, not for beginners, don't forget to chew), however he is quite pleased. He was heard to say "It takes a lot of boxes to raise a K3".
#5882 has a full complement of add-ons, well every option except the transverter and external reference. Completion of alignment and testing will continue later today when the proud papa has a high enough caffeine level. As with any newborn, sleep is never an possibility. Thanks to Lisa for arranging the pick up.
