Hi Dragan: If you press much harder than necessary to activate the switches, the board on which the switches are mounted can flex slightly which makes all the switches move. Pushing as hard as I'd care to in the upper right, I can make the switches in that area move perhaps as much as 1 millimeter.
The board is securely mounted to the front panel sheet metal, but by four stand-offs - two just under the LCD display and two more just under the VFO A and VFO B knobs - and by the nuts on the concentric pots on the left. All of these attachment points are in the lower area of the board, so pressing hard on buttons near the top will cause the board to flex slightly. There is another board (DSP) mounted on the back side of the board holding all the switches which stiffens the whole assembly, but it can still be made to flex in some areas (such as the upper right corner) by pressing hard. 73, Ron AC7AC -----Original Message----- Hi all, Since this summer I am a proud owner of K3-10/F and don't want to waste bandwidth on my compliments to this great radio. I guess that I have a problem with loose buttons in upper right corner of the front board. For example, if I press M>V button, other surrounding buttons are also moving. Is this normal behavior? If not, how to solve this? I didn't find any post that describes this kind of problem. OTOH, on YouTube I found a couple of blurry demonstration videos and I thought I saw that those buttons are not moving. Thanks, Dragan, 4O4A K3-10/F #5569 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
