Garry, I am not at home right. Using another radio's config file will probably not work as the calibrations would be different between the two rigs.
If you can get them on the air or by email I would suggest doing the EEINIT process and then redo the calibrations outlined in the manual (watt meter, TX Gain, VCO CAL and Ref CAL). It should not take them more than 15-20 min. They will also have to resetup their filter settings and activate whatever options they have in the CONFIG menu.
