Another thing to check is the internal SLUSB audio level settings for RX and TX. I had to set the pin for boosting the RX audio level to get it working between my K3 and my iMac. I use Cocoa Modem on the iMac. Other then standard settings you need to do for K3, this was the only "experiment" I had to do before I got it to work. This is documented in the SLUSB user manual under the section "Special Jumpers".
