Will a software command be added to a K3 firmware update to be able to set the VOX gain directly?
I have a macro in DXLab's Commander that switches between two mics, one on the front panel jack and one on the rear, and I can set the TX EQ, mic gain, and compressor directly, but I have to change the VOX gain indirectly. By that, I mean the macro goes into the menu and issues a bunch of UP or DN commands. It works, though is clumsy, and I have to be sure that the VOX gain starting point of one of the mics is set manually. For background, I have a Heil headset connected to the real panel and a Heil PR781 connected to the front panel. The headset has both an HC4, which I am using, and an HC5, and I am not using any TX EQ with that. The PR781 has lots of TX EQ so it sounds more like communications audio than a broadcast mic.
