Jerry,

IMHO, the only thing wrong with the stock knob is the sharp edge at the
front perimeter.  I tune with my thumb resting on that corner and my thumb
gets sore after a bit.  Those fingerdimples may work for some folks, but
since I don't normally tune with a finger, they just get in the way for me.
I need something that will soften that edge, and the FT-900 rubber rings
work fine for me.
