As luck would have it, this happened to me yesterday with JT65-HF. Guys with good signals were calling me and nothing would decode. After tearing my hair out for several hours, I discovered the cause -- I had accidentally turned on AFX while intending to switch digital modes (I was switching to AFSK to work an RTTY DX spot). I turned it off and decoding began working again.
