Hi, I have just measured a 3.5 mm jack at 3.46 mm and 0.136 inches, making it 11 thousandths larger than 1/8 of an inch. Probably makes a better fit that a nominal 1/8 inch plug (about 10% smaller). Mine are 3.5 mm and cause no bother. 73 Tim gm4lmh
