Thanks Mike, Part of my problem was I have an old copy of the pgmrs ref rev A. It only has 11 pages. Just downloaded the latest rev. That should help.

Look in the Command Set Overview, Table 1 on page 1 and in the Command Reference section on page 16. Its listed as SB *, not SBx. SB0; turns the sub receiver off and SB1; turn it on.
