Don, Do not stress the leads - you can form them to fit the hole spacing better (and you do have to do that for a few in the bandpass filter area). If the leads are less than 1/4 inch that is normally OK - one major reason to keep the capacitors close to the board is physical - they will not flop around with shorter leads.
There are a few capacitors that should be mounted with short leads, to keep stray noise pickup to a minimum, but in no case do they need to be so short that the leads are under stress. 73, Don W3FPR On 1/15/2012 3:43 PM, Don Baucom wrote: > I am install the Caps on page 52.
