This worked for me so far.  

IF you can find a earlier stored configuration in your utility program which 
does not have the distortion in the NOTCH,  you can just bring over your 
present or new configuration settings to the older configuration. 

In other words,  transfer the current settings to your older version which was 
stored in the config file in the utility program which did not have the 
corrupted auto notch file./   

Apparently,  the Auto Notch is flawed and has a bug, but you can do a work 
around using an older config file which does not have the distortion on the 
auto notch. Who knows how the Auto Notch gets corrupted,  but for some reason 
the code can get messed up.  

If you don't have an older file to work with,  then it gets harder.

You have to do a Parameter Initialization  which will cause you to lose all 
settings and even default settings.  You will lose filter config plus the 100 
watt amp.  It will all have to be reset to your present configuration so 
recording down all your menu and config settings plus front panel settings is 
necessary.  Refer to page 66 in the manual.
