I use mostly square head screws around the house and for wood-working projects. They are great - no slips or messed up heads. And, you can really apply some heavy-duty torque to them.
There are a few other kinds of heads also - I have most of the driver sets - need them to take a modern car or tractor apart .... appliances too. They are also non-jump (slip/strip). But, I prefer the square heads.
