Ron, Yes, you have it right. Check the suffix on the ProSet - if it is iC or K2, then it has an electret element and will need bias. AFAIK, all others are dynamic and should not have bias turned on. Everything "ProSet" is not equal, there are several types, so be specific about the one you have and we can be more clear about the bias.
