I just completed assembly of my KPA500 shipped last week. To everyone discussing problems with the fit of the top cover and distortion of the chassis.....none found here. Top cover is perfectly flat WRT the front panel. Everything as usual for Elecraft products. I followed the instructions to the letter. Power turned on and all appears normal. To late in the day to finalize station connections but will make some RF tomorrow.
