Hi Jim, I would not expect that. The K3/0 shall be nothing more than the frontpanel. At least that is what people asked for. ;-)) Still using the whole enclosure of a K3 but just empty would not be what I prefer, it simply takes too much desk space. But as nobody else than the Elecraft guys have every seen the K3/0 we'll probably have to wait for Eric or Wayne to chime in here.
But half the price of a basic K3 would be a bit much for "just" a front panel. I would expect a price closer to that of a TS-480 frontpanel which Kenwood sells as single item especially for the RemoteRig system.
