Hello fans.
I'm sure this has been covered before, but humor me. I am making a mic from a Radio Shack element, with two leads. One for + and one for -. I have some nice mic cable, very flexible, and with two conductors inside a shield. I am planning to connect the + lead from the mic to the pin 1 of the front panel connector, and the - lead to pin 7. Should I connect the shield to pin 8?
