Eric, Wouldn't the RemoteRig's wall wart be enough to power both the RRC and K3/0 using a pigtail adapter, or even better though the RRC's AUX/MIC connector (which I believe you already use anyway to pass the microphone input to the front panel)?
It provides 1 amp, in able to power TS-480 and other external heads using the AUX/MIC connector, as well as the minimal current required by the RRC.
