I've had complaints my FM signal is low in audio (which implies low deviation). Mic gain control is inoperative in FM mode (turned up to 60 with no change). I checked CONFIG: FM DEV and it is set to 5.0 KHz. It can be raised to 6.0 but I haven't changed it as that seems not the proper way to raise transmit audio. I'm guessing this setting is fixed at the factory.
I have no RF level issues: signal is full quieting on FM. Even yelling into the mic with my lips touching the mic makes no difference (according to the listener).
