Hello: Sorry to repeat what others have said. Yes you do need a KX1 and it's even sweeter if you built it yourself.
I am operating from IV3 for the next week while visiting my wife's family. So far made 5 Q's around Europe with a 28 ft end fed and two 16 ft radials. And didn't require a lot of effort. BTW if you're in Europe listen for me at ~1300 UTC near 7030 until March 8.
