BTW thanks to those who pointed out the fast-tune features of the RIT knob. I would have used this clever scheme many times, and from now on I'll know to use it. For example, just last night in the ARRL-DX Phone, there were guys transmitting on 7050 and listening 7250. With this little trick plus the band-stack registers, you could easily get both VFOs set in seconds.
Just goes to show ya, no matter how much you think you know, there's some bit of info that you'd love to have that is missing. For those who haven't tried it, check it out (look in the manual under VFO CRS in the Config menu). It's neat.
