Another issue is the antenna input. Main-receiver path signals below 1.5MHz are attenuated to protect circuitry from ultra strong out-of-band broadcasters. There are two solutions for improved AM broadcast band reception.
1. Add the KBPF3 general coverage band pass filter option 2. Use a RX-only antenna in the KXV3's RX IN antenna jack (BNC). Both of these techniques safely bypass the protective HPF built into the main receiver path.
