I bought one of the USB to 4 port Serial converters from Edgeport and it gives me a lovely BSOD ( this means blue screen of Death!!! Which causes a PC to shut down. Amazing feat since so little of the latest devices ever cause this in WIN7). I am in contact with the vendor who claim the latest driver fixes this. But it doesn't seem to for me. I am looking for a workaround and will post if I find one. Anyway; What a mess when restarting the PC. Not even a crossover load from wrong devices and firmware on the Elecraft site causes all this "stuff". ( I would use harsher works but the other half prohibits my profanity, at least when it is recordable :-)).
