I use the rubber mesh shelf liner in black under my paddles...it works fantastic. I also use it on top of my amp to keep the watt-meter perched up there from sliding around. I just cut out around the ventilation holes so they aren't blocked.
Something that hasn't been mentioned is what people are doing if you use the bail on the K3 and P3? I don't own a P3, yet, but on the K3 I have cut a decorative piece of wood to elevate the P3 a little higher off the desk. The piece of wood is currently a little wider than the K3 bail. I've stuck some ~1/4 thick silicone rubber feet to the desk facing side and this keeps things from sliding around very well. One thing I plan on doing when I add the P3 is to make a similar thing but spanning the combined width of K3 + P3. I'll also cut a shallow grove in the top of the wood piece which will hold the bail and will keep the front panels in the same plane. I may even make this out of some cool looking exotic wood. I'm a wood worker too..... Once I do this I'll post some pictures but it will probably be a while before I get around to this.
