The KX3 does not contain isolation transformers - there is not adequate 
room inside.
Yes, you may connect to the mic and phone jacks directly, and that can 
sometimes be done if the computer and the KX3 are properly bonded 
together (see K9YC's papers).  If the bonding does not cure hum and 
noise pickup, you will probably have to add isolation transformers 
outside the KX3 (or use an interface box).
