I bought a two-band filter for 17&15, then used info posted circa 2006 on this reflector to turn it into a 12M/10M board. Result worked fairly well with 4W out on 12M and 2W out on 10M. So, no need to wait, the K1 can readily be put on 12&10. The K1 needs to tune 150kHz range, had already modified mine to achieve that to permit covering the 40M novice section.
