They are network cables, designed to keep enough of the signal inside to get it to the next computer, used a lot before the twisted pair cables became popular. Maybe good enough for patch cords at low power ranges. Can be used but definitely not as good as cables made for high power and good shielding. If you want the best, that's not it.
