I do this to feed my ancient R-4C as an auxiliary receiver. I built up a special RX antenna relay switching matrix to manage feeds to the Main and Sub receivers with a Mini-Circuits PSC-2-2 embedded in it for this purpose. The splitter can be switched in or out to share the Aux R-4C with the K3 Main input. It works great.
