It would be a better idea for sunglass manufacturers to stop using cheap
plastic polarizers and go back to the heavy-gradient (G-15) glass or
polycarbonate that they used before the cheap stuff became available.
I had a pair of Ray-Ban G-15s that lasted almost 20 years  the lenses
outlasted the frame.  Can't find them today.
