Steve, If you have the K2/100, all you need is the proper cable to a serial port. If you have a K2/10 then you need the KIO2 in your K2. If there is a DB-9 connector in the AUX IO location, you have it (unless the prior owner just installed a connector to fill the hole). DO NOT connect a standard serial cable to that connector - it contains internal signals for attaching transverters, the KRC2, etc. You must use the special cable shown in the KIO2 (or KPA100) manual
You may need a USB to serial adapter - get one that will run reliably at 4800 bps, many do not. 73, Don W3FPR On 5/10/2012 12:18 PM, Stephen Roberts wrote: > I just got a K2 and want to hook it up to my logging software on my iMac. > What do I need to do that? > > Steve > W1SFR > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
