I second Chuck's recommendation. I have had many Pasternack RG-213 N-connector patch cables operating at various power levels up to a kilowatt for years without any failures. Yes, they are expensive, but much less so if from the cost you subtract the quality cable, connectors and ANY reasonable amount of labor cost you would put into making your own.
This being said, I make my own cables up for ham purposes, but my day job is broadcast engineering, and I have used Pasternack cables and adapters in that job for years with ZERO failures, plus, they have a great catalog and website, ship on schedule and you can rely on them. Also, they have an adapter from anything to anything...I think they even have a Reverse female SMA to 1/4" NPT adapter...jk of course...hi hi!
