Never dawned on me how the process would actually work. It was several hours after the "window opened" that I realized Elecraft was accepting orders for the KX3. Amazing how many orders were placed in such a short period of time.
On the negative side - I was disappointed when I heard the 100W amp for the KX3 probably wouldn't be available until maybe the end of 2012. On the plus side - it's now the middle of June and still waiting on my KX3 kit - so the wait for the amp (after receiving the KX3) won't be as long as I thought. (Great spin, huh? Maybe I should become a politician!) Friends and family think I've always been good with numbers. But I don't think I would ever have figured out how those order numbers convert to date/time - that was pretty impressive.
