Cameron,

Check the locations of the other 8 pin ICs to be certain their placement 
is correct - in other words, read the numbers printed on the component 
and compare with the location/parts list.
What I am saying is that Elecraft has never had a shortage of ICs, or an 
incorrect count in my 13 years of experience with them (and I have 
assembled a LOT of kits for customers).  But that does not say that 
mistakes cannot happen - but the most likely is that you mounted the 
LM6482 somewhere else.  Check the IC labels carefully with a magnifier 
and a good light.

Once you satisfy yourself that you were shorted an LM6486 and have an 
extra 25LC320, email [email protected] and request an LM6486. With your 
K2 serial number and order date, there should be no question about 
sending one to you.
