Larry, Do you have a saved configuration file? If so, try an EE INIT (Parameter Initialization) - then load the new firmware and reload your configuration. If you do not have a saved configuration file, you will want to contact K3support before trying an EE Init, and you will have about an hour's work to load all the necessary options and do the calibration steps.
