Two cables. One from the speaker output of the computer to the K3 line it.
Then speaker out from the K3 to the mic input on the PC. You do not need external sound card or interface to work HRD digital modes. Thats how I connect it between HRD and my K3. Then you use DATA-A as the mode for the K3. Simple as that. Oh yes you need the serial interface connected to the PC. But if you alread have this connection working with the K3 software then you use the same port settings in HRD. Now you do have to go thru and get everything set up correctly but as far as hardware goes that is all you need. Also you can use JT65 with HRD doing the PTT.
