I was very excited to finish my KX1 serial number 1225 and start the alignment procedures. Radio seems to be humming along fine, but the antenna tuner alignment hit a snag. When I began to null the trimmer cap C9, it was very difficult to rotate, and then broke free violently, mashing the plates against each other. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I have dropped Elecraft an email asking for help, so hopefully will hear back tomorrow. What kind of turnaround have fellow enthusiasts experienced on replacement parts? I'd sure like to get the radio on the air with random wires this weekend...
