Hi John, I noticed the same thing on my radio. I assigned the "AFX MD" menu item to my PF1 key so I can easily change between delay, pitch, and turn it off (and PF2 key is for dual watch).
Hopefully it will be fixed in an upcoming release, but I consider it a minor bug only. 73, Matt VK2ACL.
