George, AA7JV, is just back from a recon trip to St. Peter & Paul rocks for the PTØS operation coming up in November. The rigs will be K3s with a combiner of two SG500 amplifiers for one KW at one of the operating positions. This is the same scheme that George and Tomi, HA7RY, have used successfully in the Pacific.
George used a KX3 with a whip on the recon trip to determine the quietest location for the low band receiving antennas.
