I'm using a small semi-rigid Case Logic camera case. Works great, unzip one side panel to access small pouches for earphones, extra batteries, etc. and the other to get at the rig and antenna. Fits into the backpack nicely, cushions the rig nicely, and holds it's shape under reasonable amounts of squishing.
