“Has anyone successfully interfaced a K3 and THP HL-1.5KFX amp so the K3 tells the amp what band to be on? If so, I would appreciate specifics onhow you did it.”
Peter – Just connect the K3 0123 band data outputs to the THP ABCD band data inputs. On the THP, tell it is a Yaesu input. The only issue is that when the THP amp is off, it loads down the K3 band data outputs. The THP 1.5 and 2.5 amps really need isolation diodes to keep this from happening, though it is really only a problem if you are powering other devices in parallel with a turned-off THP amp.
