Jim, I wrote a tiny program to set the three sets of EQ levels (rx, tx ssb, tx fm) at:
http://udel.edu/~mm/ham/elecraft/ that might make it easier. I'm not sure if it works for Windows 64-bit - no time recently to verify all OSes - but should for Win 32, OSX, and linux.
