If you have SPKRS=1 and SPKR+PH=yes, then with the SUB ON or OFF you get audio (mixed for sub on) and main only (for sub off) in the left ear only. Other combinations of SPKRS, SPKR+PH and SUB should give you main in left and sub in right (for SUB ON) and main in both for SUB OFF.
