The KUSB has a USB connector on one end and a 9-pin D-shell connector on the other end. It's for the K3 and KPA500 that have 9-pin D shell RS-232 connections.
The KXUSB has a USB connector on one end and a molded right-angle 3.5mm TRS (tip, ring, shell) plug on the other. The KXSER has a 9-pin D-shell connector on one end and a molded right-angle 3.5mm TRS plug on the other. The 3.5mm TRS connector for RS-232 communications is used with the W1, W2, K144XV, XG3, KX3, and KAT500. 73 de Dick, K6KR -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Donald Thompson Sent: Monday, September 03, 2012 2:47 PM To: Elecraft Reflector Subject: [Elecraft] [KXUSB] I have been swapping my serial USB adapter between my K3 and other uses and its becoming a pain. I need to get a second USB Serial Adapter and was about to order the KUSB with FTDI chip listed under the K3 options on order page. I was also going to order the XG3 RF Signal Source and noticed it comes with a KXUSB. I don't see a KXUSB listed elsewhere. Is this the same as the KUSB? 73 Don KA1KU Sent from my iPhone ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
