I have nearly completed my new K1. Last time I had power into it (on receive only) all four bands were receiving fine (7, 10, 14 & 21). I completed the transmitter section this afternoon (I just had the two last transformers to wind) and then went into the transmitter alignment procedure. All well on 10.1 MHz, but no joy on 7 MHz, the RX is hearing nothing and the rig is transmitting nothing. 21 and 14 MHz are working OK. That implies to me a problem on the filter board - is my thinking right here? Possibly a crystal that has died or a relay not now doing its stuff. As it did work I had thought of a bad joint and went round with my iron, but hat has brought no joy. Are there any pointers as to where I might look?
