I regularly use my K3 around other radios in the same vicinity (field day; mini-local IOTAs and DXpeditions, etc). Phase noise is a one-way problem: the other guys' radios put me out of business but they do not know I'm around. Even my buddy 1/4 mile away with a non-K3 can be detected here from his phase noise.
