*I wonder if the original request for information was a result of having CW+SSB turned ON, AND the K3 was in split?
I just checked and mine does the same thing. With split active, CW+SSB does not allow the K3 to TX, the Red LED remains OFF but the SPlit indicator LED is lit and the K3 LCD displays SPLIT. Just a thought, but I don't recall having read that restriction in the manual.
