You lucky people.. I am now going leave the Yahoo KX3 list and use the Elecraft 
list for all KX3 postings, the way it should be.
Forever and amen... :)

Anyhow...
Last weekend was the first time I really had some time to hook up my KX3 and 
work some stuff.
Bands seemed great, and I worked Belorussia, East Russia and Sweden (from 
Ontario, Canada). 
Basic 60 some foot wire diagonal into trees.

Anyhow...
 this was also the first time I'd had the time to notice since I was on 
15 m and 12 m and 17 m the much reported VFO noise.
Thanks to my BlackBerry (a product of Ontario, Canada) I googled this issue and 
saw the note from Wayne re. RX Shift to 8.
I did that and the noise was much less...
BUT....
am I incorrect that there also seems to be some attentuation of signal strength 
with this shift employed?

Or am I seeing devils where they don't exist, like too many of my business 
clients?
(no, there is no ghost in your machine).
