If you don't mind *really* limited, you could use a DOS terminal emulation program. I can't remember any examples -- been waaaay too long. But you could then do two things: send commands (like "FA;" to read the VFO frequency), and send/receive CW/RTTY/PSK31 by sending a "TT1;" command to put the KX3 into dumb-terminal mode. "TT0;" takes it back out. There are some serious compromises with TT1 mode, but it works.
