A span of 500 kHz would be nice when the bands are quiet, but with an inverted-v in Texas, the P3 can get quite busy with Span set at 200 kHz, so I usually keep it set at from 2 to 50 kHz, depending on if I'm using CW or SSB.

Of course it's just a problem with clearing the previous digits from the display, and not a span of 500 KHz (wishful thinking :-) ) 73, Paul Paul Saffren - N6HZ Firmware Engineer Elecraft Inc. 831-763-4211 x122 www.elecraft.com On 10/4/2012 1:17 PM, Dwayne Rohmer wrote: > Paul, > > I see the same issue on my P3, but it only occurs if: 1- Span is > selected from the right column of buttons, and 2 - Span 200 is selected from FN8. > After that, selecting 10, 30, or 50, from FN2-4 results in a menu > display of 100, 300, and 500, with an actual bandwidth display of 10, > 30, and 50, respectively.
