Bob, I don't have a source, but I need to give you some information regarding the 9 pin connector.
The 9 pin 'Y' may give you problems. RS-232 signalling is for point to point communications only. If there are two drivers on a signal line, they will interfere with each other (even if idle). In other words, if there is anything connected to pins 3, 4 or 7 in the device on the far side of the "Y" connector, it will interfere with communications between the K3 and the computer (Microham Digikeyer). In other words, you cannot connect another device that normally drives an RS-232 interface.
